Open Certified Positions for UPCOMING 2025-2026:
Newkirk Public School is seeking an experienced, passionate, and dedicated Head Football Coach to lead our varsity football program. The ideal candidate will foster a positive and competitive environment emphasizing student-athlete growth, sportsmanship, academic achievement, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement a comprehensive football program aligned with the school’s mission and values.
Plan and conduct effective practices and game strategies to maximize player development and team success.
Promote and prioritize academic success and character development for all student-athletes.
Recruit, mentor, and evaluate assistant coaches to ensure program alignment and excellence.
Monitor player eligibility, safety protocols, and compliance with all school, league, and state athletic policies.
Engage with parents, alumni, and the community to promote the football program.
Manage program budgets, equipment inventory, and fundraising initiatives.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in education, sports management, or a related field.
Proven experience coaching football at the high school or collegiate level.
Strong understanding of game rules, strategies, and player development.
Effective leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred:
Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Teaching certification is open.
Experience leading a high school football program or equivalent leadership role.
